Ginkgo Candle holder

DESCRIPTION

This series takes inspiration from the Ginkgo Biloba tree, one of the oldest tree species in the world. In Japanese culture, the Ginkgo tree holds symbolism of eternity and hope, being the sole survivor of the Hiroshima bombing.
In Chinese culture, the Ginkgo is revered as a sacred tree that embodies duality, representing the masculine and feminine, the heavens and earth, the visible and invisible, the sun and moon, and the yin and yang.
Each piece in this collection is meticulously handcrafted from cast brass by skilled artisans in Madrid, the same artisans-sculptors renowned for their work with Marc Quinn and Anish Kapoor.
